When our parents are no more in this physical world and with the passage of time when the battle of life has to be encountered without their blessings, we have to fight it alone without any prop of which we were always so used to be.
My parents were blessed and they led spotless and splendid life. The best way to remember them would be to do something that they would have been proud of, do something that was always close to their hearts, do something that affects people’s life positively.
A wise man once said – “he who opens a school door, closes a prisonâ€. Simple as it is, this personifies the importance of education. An educated person is respected everywhere. Education beats the beauty and the youth. While the roots of education are bitter, the fruits are sweet.
As the world is changing rapidly, the young torch bearers of our society need to be motivated to do well for themselves through education. The best way to motivate our young generation would be to give accolades to the achievers. To this effect with positive thinking, consequently we have constituted a prize fund for meritorious students amounting to Rs 5,100 each. In all 11 students from class 10th and 11 students from class 12th would receive this token of appreciation annually. Together we must use education as a powerful weapon to change the world and change ourselves.
Without much further ado, we would like to constitute the “Madhusudan Damyanti Award †in the loving memory of our parents Mr Madhusudan Singh and Mrs Damyanti Singh. Their threads of life were cut prematurely and abruptly but they live in our hearts today and would continue to live as role models for our society in the time to come.
Today, our parents are no longer physically with us. Therefore, in the flow of time, during the difficult moments of life’s struggles, the support of our parents—on which we were always dependent—is no longer available. In their absence, we have to face life’s challenges alone.
My parents were blessed by God, and they lived a noble life. The best way to preserve their memories is for us to perform such deeds that would make them feel proud—deeds that always remained close to their hearts, and actions that positively influence the lives of others.
It is said that the one who opens the door of a school closes the door of a prison. This simple statement clearly highlights the importance of education. An educated person is respected everywhere. Education enhances both strength and beauty. The roots of education may be bitter, but its fruits are sweet.
In today's rapidly changing world, it is essential to encourage the youth of our society, through education, to do something meaningful for themselves and for society. One of the best ways to motivate our younger generation is to recognize and reward their achievements. With this objective, we have introduced a scholarship/award scheme for deserving students. Under this scheme, the top 11 students of Class 10 and the top 11 students of Class 12 will be awarded Rs. 5100 each on an annual basis. Through mutual cooperation, we should make education a powerful tool for bringing positive change in ourselves as well as in the world.
Without much elaboration, in the loving memory of our parents, Late Shri Madhusudan Singh and Late Smt. Damyanti, we have instituted the ‘Madhusudan–Damyanti Scholarship/Award’. Although their life journey was cut short unexpectedly and untimely, they still live on in our hearts and will always remain an inspiration for our society.
